Preserving Epcot's past is (at times) an all-encompassing effort.
What you see on the website and in the Locals community is just the tip of the Epcot iceberg. In many cases, projects are prepared many years in advance with much of the work going on completely behind the scenes — that ends today.
From now on, frequent progress reports will be given exclusively to Locals Supporters on the various projects and historical preservation efforts that keep the Epcot Legacy alive.
One such effort is maintaining a vast archive of audio/visual materials, and recently I've been tackling an extremely rare set of 36 documentation photos from the 1994 version of Spaceship Earth that were badly scanned with a large amount of smudges and scratches. These can often take a couple of hours to repair and to date 11 of them have been restored.
These and many others from various attractions/locations in Disney history are now part of a password-protected restoration showcase on my JLH Omnimedia portfolio site....
